SAT Subject Tests are hour-long exams that each test a particular subject in great depth. The SAT Subject Test in Biology tests just Biology over the course of eighty multiple-choice questions. (SAT Subject Tests don’t contain essay sections). The first sixty of these questions are about general biological concepts. If you take the SAT Subject Test in Biology: Ecological at the same time as your lab partner takes the SAT Subject Test in Biology: Molecular, you will both be asked to answer the same first sixty problems before the tests diverge into specialized kinds of Biology. So, the last twenty questions on every SAT Subject Test in Biology: Ecological have to do specifically with ecological concepts, like biomes, keystone species, food webs, energy transfers, and the effects of various kinds of pollution.
